Final Reflection

I have reviewed my Paper #3 Synthesis Paragraph and Paper #4 Research paper. Why did you choose your topic? Are you still happy with your choice? I choose this topic because it was in the field of major. I feel like learning more about my major and how the prison industry works. Yeah, I am still happy with topic. 2. What goals did you have for your research? Did you meet those? My goals for the research was to investigate of how the prison life is. How a prison operates and works. I feel like I had really good points but should of expanded on it more. 3. What facts about your topic interested you most? Did this kind of project help you gain a better understanding of your topic than you might have with a more traditional kind of research paper? If so, why and in what ways did it help? The topic interested me because it was in the same field as in me. But overall, it helped me gain a better understanding of the prison life. 4. How much information did you collect? How easy or hard was it to find information? I collected the main points of the improvements that prison have made. It was easy because with the book of my corrections, I was able to find so much information. 5. What did you learn about the research process from this project? I learned that the prison management has made improvements on the problems inside the prison. 6. What piece was the hardest or most challenging to write? Why? The most fun or interesting? Why? The hardest part of my essay was trying to put a research question together. 7. How did you decide on the organization of the pieces into a cohesive whole? Consider not only organization but use of transitional devices and packaging. I decided to give an introduction, background on prison, prison management and the process of entering prison, and then the troubles inside the prison. 8. What did you learn by working with your peers on revising and editing? Did they give you helpful advice? What was most helpful to you? What kinds of things did you learn form reading their pieces? Yeah, they gave me helpful advice of what to choose and how to work on it.
